sounds like a remarkable journey or self discovery you are on Susan. To learn the weakness of strength...
... the paradox of this life... private and personal, yet we are absolutely not designed to do it alone. Too many blindspots. And like you I have fallen into the trap too many times of trying to take on too much repsonsibility. The day I realised I am only ever 50% responsible for any interaction was a remarkably uplifting one for me.

I love seeking out the harmony point... the sweet spot that exists between the truth in the extremes. The balance point... the place where things make sense, where peace and real truth and love live.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us... there are many who will learn and grow through your journey.

Hi Lisa!

Thanks for your thoughts! Bee pollen is the protein in this particular smoothie - it's the most complete superfood found in nature as it has all 22 essential amino acids! How cool is that! A complete protein from bees!

Mmmm... nuts are ALWAYS good in smoothies too! Hadn't thought of oats! I'll have to try it...

Looks YUM!

I would probably recommend adding some protein to that too Susan... especially something with glutamine in it. Your muscles use glutamine (the amino acid) so having it in your smoothie will really help with stamina and recovery. Protein will also lower the glycaemic load and make it a little more of a sustained release and steady stream of energy... (obviously you want to manage this with the digestibility factor too...)

So some soaked or ground almond, walnuts or some tree nut butter ... actually oats even have a reasonable amount of glutamine...

;o) Good luck... excited for you!

Hi Charles,

Excellent question, thank you!

The best place for any of us to start no matter where we are, is by learning to listen more to the signs and signals our body gives us about the food we eat. By noticing how we feel before we eat and after eating we get first hand, direct feedback about what's really good for our body vs what we think is good for us. Our body will always tell us the truth but our minds tends to cloud the picture a little, skip over things, deny or explain what we experience in other terms.

I've also found that by keeping things this simple, doing only one thing at a time like listening to our body, is the very best way to promote the kind of extraordinary health in our crazy busy lives that we really want.
